On Sunday 13 December, KEIJI OKAGAKI, President and CEO, briefed our project to Mr. Akaba, Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism during his visit at Noshiro Port.
The visit was aimed at confirming the status of improvement at Noshiro Port which has been designated as base port for offshore wind power generation hub and was accompanied by Mr. Takada, Director-General Ports and Harbours Bureau, Mr. Tada, Vice Director-General Tohoku Regional Development Bureau, and others from Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) with Mr. Kawahara, Deputy Governor of Akita Prefecture, Mr. Saito, Mayor of Noshiro City, Mr. Hirohata, Chairman of Noshiro Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Watanabe, General Manager of Akita Port Office under MLIT also attended.
At the visit, Mr. Akaba showed his willingness to steadily execute the improvement at Noshiro Port and further his great expectation on the construction of the first large-scale offshore wind farm in Japan.
