About the occurrence of novel coronavirus infectious disease patients (Final Report)
Re: Notice of Case Closure and Return to Work

This time, please accept our sincere apology for having caused deep concern and inconvenience to everyone in the communities and related parties with the occurrence of novel coronavirus infection on workers boarding our offshore construction vessel for the Akita-Noshiro offshore wind power, “AOW” project.

AOW suspended our work using the vessel soon after the first infection was detected in the middle of August. Since then, we have been trying to close this situation by quarantining onboard workers both test positive and negative and proving medical care for them under the direction of the public health center and parties involved.

Now, please be informed that AOW resumed our work using the vessel on September 12.
For your information, we do not foresee any impact on the entire project schedule due to this work interruption, and there is no change in our target of commencing our commercial operation by the end of 2022.

AOW takes this occurrence of infection seriously and continues to do all efforts to prevent the spread of infection and to secure the safety of all parties involved as our top priority. Your kind understanding would be highly appreciated.
