About the occurrence of novel coronavirus infectious disease patients (2nd Report)
Please be informed that additional infectious disease patients were newly revealed about the occurrence of novel coronavirus infectious disease patients in the Akita-Noshiro offshore wind power, “AOW” project.
Since the occurrence of infection on August 19, PCR test has been performed for all the onboard workers and related parties. As a result, additional 10 workers (25 in total) were revealed to be positive as of August 24.
Currently, we keep continuing disinfection work for the vessel and related facilities to secure the safety.
AOW will continue to do further efforts to take disease control measures, which involves the action history survey and isolation of all patients to prevent further spread of infection, and medical screening for close contacts who might be identified test positive in the future, in cooperation with the public health center and parties involved.
We deeply apologize for the concern and inconvenience to everyone in the communities and related parties. We will give top priority to human life, safety, and prevention of the spread of infection, and will take all possible measures carefully. We appreciate your understanding.
