“Zaratan’s Send-Off Ceremony” was held
On Tuesday 20 April, “Zaratan’s Send-Off Ceremony” was held at Iijima Yard of Akita Port for the purpose of welcoming Seajacks Zaratan and of praying safety for full-scale offshore construction from now on. At the ceremony, representatives from our company, Kajima-Sumitomo Joint Venture as construction contractor, and further from Akita Port Office of Tohoku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Akita Prefecture, Noshiro City and Akita City were present, and Namahage, a traditional play in Akita Prefecture, was performed.
We plan to start the installation of foundation element (monopiles, transition pieces) at Akita Port and at Noshiro Port by deploying Seajacks Zaratan from the 2nd half of April this year.
