Signing Ceremony on Lease Agreement for Iijima Yard of Akita Port was held

On Friday 9 April, Signing Ceremony on Lease Agreement for Iijima Yard of Akita Port was held at Akita prefectural office.
The agreement was concluded for the purpose of construction and operation & maintenance for offshore renewable energy power generation facilities provided under the Port and Harbor Act as the 1st one in Japan. By concluding the agreement, a power producer can utilize a base port from construction through demolition on a long-term and stable basis.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Satake, Governor of Akita Prefecture, Mr. Tada, Vice Director-General Tohoku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and KEIJI OKAGAKI, President and CEO, were present.
We plan to start full-scale offshore construction from the 2nd half of April with Iijima Yard of Akita Port being a base towards commercial operation before the end of 2022.
