Co-hosted a fish catching event in Noshiro
Sponsored by Love River Net Kitaakita, a river conservation organization in Akita Prefecture, the Fish Catching Event was held on August 31st at the Futatsui Roadside Station in Noshiro City. Following on from last year, the event was aimed at kindergarten, nursery and elementary school children, and was held by the organizers with the aim of providing an opportunity for children to think about the fish that live in rivers and the river environment.
Our company also sponsored the competition, as we did last year. Last year, 140 children participated, but this year, 480 children took part. The event was a huge success, with children getting soaked and cheering under the scorching summer sun as they caught the prepared rock char, rainbow trout, and large Donaldson fish.
Our company will continue to sponsor events like this that raise awareness of protecting the natural environment and inland fisheries.
