Held a Safety Prayer Ceremony
On Thursday 12 November, a Safety Prayer Ceremony was held at Tsuchizaki Shinmeisha Shrine in Akita City.
The ceremony was attended by 35 persons from our company as owner, Kajima-Sumitomo Electric Joint Venture and Kinden as contractors, and also from some related government and municipal offices including Mr. Kawahara, Deputy Governor of Akita Prefecture, Mr. Saito, Mayor of Noshiro City, Mr. Kamata, Deputy Mayor of Akita City and Mr. Watanabe, General Manager of Akita Port Office under Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) as guests.
The construction was started in February 2020, but the ceremony has been postponed due to the spread of COVID-19. The onshore construction is in progress and the offshore construction is scheduled to start in spring 2021 with commercial operation expected to start before the end of 2022.
